Various Ways of Marking Your Burial Site
By Connor R Sullivan

A lot of people get uncomfortable when confronted with the topic of death but it is one of those things that touches everyone and the more information you have surrounding the planning of a funeral and the after death arrangements the better. So many people are left grief stricken when their loved one dies and the choices that they need to make during this time of grief are at times too overwhelming. If you can be aware of all the things to need to be done prior to someone's passing the easier it will be for everyone. For example, picking out the type of Northern Kentucky monuments or cemetery monuments that are available ahead of time is a good idea as well as having your final wishes for your place of burial to be done in your will is helpful too.

When most people think of a gravestone marker or a tombstone, they think of a stone piece that is engraved with the name of the deceased along with the date of their birth and death. It has become a lot more elaborate than that and the choices are extensive. Not only do people go to purchase a memorial stone for their deceased loved one but they may want to buy other things like a marker for their favorite pet that passed away or a bench to be put in a park in honor of their family member.

Many people think of their pets as additional family members so when they die, they feel a great sense of grief as well. Today many people like to honor the life of their beloved pet by purchasing a paver type of a stone to be put in their garden or to mark where that pet maybe was buried in the backyard. This has been an increasingly growing business and one that caters to the millions of pet lovers in our country.

A lot of people today also do not want to be buried in a traditional cemetery and would be prefer to be cremated. Many people wish to have their ashes sprinkled in a favorite place of theirs whether it is a park or a beach, for example. Some family members abide to this wish but would still like some kind of a permanent structure to honor their loved one. Memorial benches have become a popular way to do this and is usually approved by a park location since it is something that visitors can enjoy sitting on as well. This way the family has a reminder of their relative who passed away and the person that is deceased had their wishes granted too.

Traditional grey sandstone or granite are not the only type of thing Granite to engrave or mark a headstone. There are other things Granite as well such as marble which is like granite is a hard stone that lasts a long time. Glass is also being Granite more as it has been shown to be quite strong and beautiful too.
